Banking Sectors and bank's frauds in India with NPA

Banking Sectors  and bank's frauds in India

According to RBI, the gross NPAs of Public Sector Banks (PSBs) between 2014-15 and 2020-21 stood at Rs. 21 lakh crores.

About 11 lakh crore rupees were written off by the Modi government's capitalist allies.  In addition to this, there was an open theft of bank deposits.  Over the course of eight years, "bank frauds" totaling Rs. 5,35,000 crores occurred under the Modi administration's nose.  For bank criminals, the Modi administration is implementing a hallmark program called "Loot and Run." Nirav Modi, also known as Chhota Modi, Mehul Choksi , Nishal Modi, Lalit Modi; Vijay Mallya, Jatin Mehta, Chetan Sandesara, Nitin Sandesara; Rishi Agarwal; and numerous others who have intimate ties to and affection for political party establishments are on the list of scammers.

In eight years, Rs. 6,05,039 crores were retrieved from the RBI. Under pressure, the Modi government is constantly collecting money in the form of dividends from the RBI in order to tax the fiscal deficit.  The RBI announced a dividend of Rs. 30,307 crores for the 2021–2022 fiscal year.  At this point, the "minimum contingency risk" "buffer" is just 5.5%.

Loan Write-Offs: Indian commercial banks wrote off loans of Rs 12.3 lakh crore between FY2015 and FY2024, including Rs 9.9 lakh crore in the most recent five years (FY 2020–2024).

After an asset quality evaluation was started in 2015, loan write-offs peaked in FY2019 at Rs 2.4 lakh crore.

Since then, though, write-offs have declined; in FY2024, they were the lowest at Rs 1.7 lakh crore, or 1% of the total bank credit.
